What are you most proud of? That after sewing the jacket I was brave enough to tackle the negative reverse applique, and it worked!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? My advice really has little to do with this project, but.....my advice when buying your fabric is buy a lot of yards if you can. There are just so many ways to wear all the pieces that now I wish I had more of the blue fabric. I've made a long-sleeve tee that I can wear over the sleeveless dress and if I just had a little more of that fabric, I could make a sleeveless tee to wear under the bolero with jeans. I need more fabric! I've been ordering 4 yards each color, but I think I'm going to double it next time.

Could you please name in which of her books this project can be found? I've been looking for a pattern like this one and, although I'd like to buy all her books eventually, I'm going to have to choose just one of them to start with.

AC Sewing and Design. It's the bolero pattern and the fitted dress pattern.

Thanks so much! You've done a spectacular job with this bolero -- very impressive!

Beautiful! I'm using this pattern for a possible Mardi Gras dress, and now I think I need a bolero too!
