What was your inspiration?
To make cozy, pretty pillowcases
What are you most proud of?
They are so cozy & pretty! Princess come in all colorings. I use either the child's favorite princess or the one that matches her coloring.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Minky stretches so you need to use a serger. I baste the seams with my sewing machine to stabilize them before serging. When making a pair of these place the designs appropriately as they should appear on the bed (a left & a right)
The princess is a scrap of the band fabric slipped under the heart before embroidering. Remember to use a fuse & stick like WonderUnder on the scrap. I use a sticky stabilizer in the hoop.
