What materials did you use? This afghan was modeled after one found in Fisherman Crochet Afghans By Leisure Arts Leaflet 250 Craft 1983, called "Cork". I used just over 6 skeins of CARON Simply Soft yarn in the color "Bone" using a size I crochet hook. This leaflet is still available on Amazon, just Google the title. Though I've made the full version many times over the years for gifts, I wanted to make a smaller throw so adapted the size and stitches accordingly. This throw ended up being about 48" long and 32" wide. I decided not to crochet tassels on each end and just added the same number of rows of single crochet as the sides. This is a donation for a nonprofit fundraiser and I plan to make a 14" pillow to match using the same stitches.

Thank you! I do love the "fisherman" stitches as they give so much more texture to afghans! There are many other stitches and it's fun to combine them.
