Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. I normally paint with acrylics. After watching the classes taught in oil l decided to give it a try. Used water mixable oil paints and after a few "learning experiences"was happy with the results. I did everything l could think of to give the fish a 3D appearance. How did I do?

How did you get the 3d effect? Looks great

Thanks Liz. It's all about the shadows. The fish are painted from dark to light to round out the shape and the bubbles have shadows also.

Really nice good 3D effects. Like the water bubbles too.

Love your fish! They have lovely "movement" and seem truly suspended in water. Awesome painting.
