Materials

Worsted weight yarn, 1" round magnets, 3/4" wooden dowel & assorted buttons for eyes.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make a toy for children in the 4 yr old to 6 yr old age category, that would encourage creative play while promoting learning, (color identification & counting).

What are you most proud of?

The fact that I got all of the magnetic polarity correct so that the fish can in fact be caught:)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use up all of your yarn scraps, (uses less than 20 yards of yarn per fish).

Please do not make this for toddlers and babies as it could be a choking hazard in more ways than one.
