What materials did you use? Quilting fabric, sequin fabric, various trim, fleece backing (all supplies listed in class materials)

What are you most proud of? Being able to come up with a creative solution to what at first I thought was a disaster. I slashed through all four layers in the first few minutes of the slashing process. I didn't have any more of the bottom layer fabric to put on the back to cover the hole so I panicked. I finally decided to just cut pieces of some sequin fabric I had left over from something else and use it to "patch" the hole, then added more of it elsewhere to make it appear that the whole thing was on purpose. Came out a little strange and I"m not sure what I'll do with it (pillow???) but I was very pleased with my first attempt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take the class! Tons of fun, and very creative!!!

I love this piece! The movement is wonderful, as is the balance of the sequined fabric. This keeps me interested in looking for more detail, which I'm finding in your stitching. Very nice!!

What a brilliant idea, to turn something not planned into an amazing feature. This is a great thing to put into practice in so many areas of life and sewing, thanks for sharing what happened. I love your colours.
