First spindle of spindling

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Spindling: From Fluff to Stuff »

Instructions

Started the spindling in lesson 3, by lesson 6 was very happy to listen to Drusilla explain how to short draft because that was how I ended up doing it.

Difficulty:

Category: Spinning

Type of item: Functional

For: Other

Style: Eco-Friendly

Materials

Top whorl Ashford spindle and Corriedale top

What was your inspiration?

I have always wanted to knit my own wool. Spindling gives me more of a hands on approach than a spinning wheel.

What are you most proud of?

Just as Drusilla says practise all the time. The longer I worked on it, the more consistent the yarn got.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid to ask questions, watch the entire course first before rushing in, practise lots.
