What materials did you use? I used 3 batiks and one striped. I did a quick design that was too horizontals as I forgot the verticals so I took the leftover scraps, circles and pieces of odd shapes with some having circles cut out. I pieced these over top the horizontals and was pleased with the final design. I still have to embellish, have ordered silk yarns from Etsy. Did some decorative outline stitching. I have 3 more sets of same fabric. Thought I would make placematts but may join the four and incorporate into a quilt. I took a pic of piece horizontally and vertically, works both ways.

What are you most proud of? I'm proud that I saved the design.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep your mind open and don't be afraid to try things you may not have done before. Just have fun

Carol Ann, my project looks quite different than others. I worked on a smaller piece. Should I be striving for more definite shapes?

I love this piece. The stripes give it so much interest and motion. Being different from everyone else is a good thing!
