What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? These are some of the photos from my first shoot for this course. They are all unedited except for the black and whites. All hand held. The dark corners in some are caused by the magnetic polariser. All comments and criticisms most welcome.

Lovely - very ethereal.

Interesting subjects. I am particularly drawn to the misty photograph.

These are a lovely exploration of ferns as part of a small landscape. I think it is great that you are working a theme and going beyond simply taking a few snapshots. Your more interesting images are ones that explore the scene as an intimate landscape rather than just focusing on a fern as an object. These photos then show relationships and give us a feeling of being there rather than just observing an interesting fern.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments Rob. I really appreciate that you take the time to do this. (I also learn from your comments to other photographers.) I have been taking photos for most of my life but have learned more since finding your teachings than in all that time. I think now I actually understand what makes a good photograph. (not that I always achieve it.) I now also have your "...to great shots" and your e books on Black and White and Macro. With Gratitude, Lorraine.
