I used an inexpensive charm pack from Walmart but it only had 32 blocks so I also bought 1/4 yard of a coordinating batik. I would have gotten that from Walmart as well but where I'm visiting it's much easier to find a so that's where the coordinating for squares and the border came from.

What was your inspiration?

I've always wanted to make an actual quilt and decided to do this even though it seemed too simple. I thought that there were probably things taught in the first project that would be important in future projects. To that end I went ahead and pulled out a couple of seems to get my points to line up better, though as you can sees . didn't go go absolutely nutty about it.

What are you most proud of?

I've finally finished a quilt top, small and simple though it may be.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just do it. My inexpensive charm blocks may not have been as exact a more expensive ones and I had to be careful that each side lines up nicely.
