What materials did you use? I found a cotton broadcloth from Dear Stella at my discount fabric shop. (I'm so happy I was able to find a fabric that was affordable to experiment with.)

What are you most proud of? I love the fit. I went back and resewed the side seams to take in the fit and reshape the curve of the hips. I actually bought a smaller size pattern than I should have. I improvised and added the inches to the biggest available pattern on this package. I haven't mastered measuring correctly to fit the pattern, but the way the skirt was constructed allowed me to go back to finesse the fit. This is the first time I managed to come away with darts that look and do exactly what it's suppose to. This was my first real clothing construction that didn't use any elastic. (That was fitted.) I'm really proud of my results.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would watch all the videos through once, before starting. I failed to watch the first few videos before buying fabric or buying the pattern. (I picked the pattern when buying this class and totally picked out the wrong size.) Also, the trickiest thing by far was measuring myself. (The skirt still came out a little bit more loose than I normally wear for ready to wear garments.)

This course was so easy to follow and had great instruction for all the parts. This is the perfect class for skirts, since it's easy and so versatile. I'm still a little uneasy about measuring myself and which size pattern to cut out. I find that to be the most daunting now. The way I measure myself, results in looser clothing than I am used to. (Maybe I will learn how to size myself as I use more patterns.) I'm trying to find more classes that allow me to come away with great basic pieces while being easy to follow and create for the beginner. This class is perfect, but I'm finding it hard to find my next class. Any advise would be appreciated. Ideally, I'd like to find an dress pattern with fitted bodice.

I like the fact I had a dress form that is measures to my body size which make fitted easy

Excellent job on your skirt. It looks great. You did a very nice job on the fit and the construction, you deserve to be proud of this.
