Materials

This is my first dyeing project ever. Jane is a wonderful instructor. I watched the series, collected the materials and felt sure enough to jump right in. These are all first round dye projects. I look forward to trying some overdyeing next!

What was your inspiration?

I love all the colors of the rainbow - soooo many colors, soooo little time!

What are you most proud of?

For a first project I felt confident enough to just give it a try. I am really proud of all the designs I created.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I selected 5 different fabrics to see which ones worked best. I took a picture of the end of the bolt, printed the picture on a piece of paper and stapled a swatch of material to each one. It's easy to purchase more of your favorite fabrics when you have all the details on the bolt in your picture.

Find a friend to share in the fun. You get so excited when you open the bundles, you just have to share it with somebody!
