Hello katidamor2372293, Welcome to Perspective in Landscape Drawing. Congratulations on the posting of your First Drawing with Border. This is a good first effort. Would it be possible for you to give us some more information and possibly a reference image? Useful information would include size and type of paper, drawing material[s] used, and inspiration. You conveyed you interest in the scene and that is important. Two things that are of concern is that the eye-level line [horizon line] is at the center of your composition. Placing it there often compromises the projection or depth of the ground plane. The second matter is the use of dark lines and tones in the group of trees in the middleground. In doing so, rather than enhance the form or space it isolates resulting in flat shapes rather than illusionistic form. I look forward to seeing the posting of your next drawing.

This is my back field in Monterey county CA, the sun was coming up behind the oak trees, thank you for the feed back, should have known better about the eye level line being right in the middle. That's what it looks like from my deck. I was using pencil and at the end a charcoal pencil.

Thank you for the information. I will be posting commentary on your 2nd drawing soon.
