Why do all your cakes have that odd finish? It detracts from your lovely work! It's not a delicate look and yet your flowers are so wonderful.

I do not like the finish on this particular cake either. If done again I'd do fondant. But I personally find that on the more elegant cakes I prefer this finish. So, I think that is a matter of opinion.
