This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Machine Quilting Negative Space »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Materials

Quilt sandwich for practice

What was your inspiration?

I knew I needed to just jump in and do it! Having never free motion quilted before, it was intimidating to start on a blank canvas and just go, but doodling on paper definitely helped when I got to the machine.

What are you most proud of?

My daisy chains! And the fact that I did it... It was a lot of fun!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid to just jump in and try. Practice practice practice before you start on an actual quilt top so you get used to the feel of the machine and how to get yourself out of tight spaces.

Hooray! Another quilter took the plunge. Don't ever be afraid to quilt your own stuff, it is so gratifying to say, "I made it all myself!" Gret job.
