What materials did you use? This is actually my muslin. Instead of muslin, I used an old sofa spread with an Aboriginal pattern and added a fringe.

What are you most proud of? The fringe. It was easy to make but in my opinion, it takes the skirt from blah to nice.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Add more ease!

I love the use of leather in your skirt. Very creative. How did you sew your leather in and how did you find working with it?

Glad you like the skirt! A friend suggested I call it the "Pocahontas Skirt". The leather is actually fake, it is suede. I cut a long strip, free-cut the fringes (without cutting through at the top) and then sewed the long strip to the double-folded hem of the skirt. It was very easy. I did use a leather needle on my sewing machine.
