What are you most proud of? That I was able to capture my vision of fireflies glowing at night by pulling only from my existing stash. Also the points match, and I pieced these blocks instead of paper piecing, so I was matching bias points.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? In my honest opinion this is not a beginner level quilt. If you are paper piecing the blocks I suggest adding 1/4 inch to the width dimensions. If you decide to the piece the block I have added a picture showing how you can use either a pineapple ruler or the Jody Barrow Square in a Square ruler to trim off the log legs to add the black triangle "goose" in the corners. I have also added a picture of how to use your 15.5" ruler to trim the finished block. The 45 degree line runs along one outside edge, and the 7.75" line show run right down the center of the black triangle tips.
