fire opal PMC earings

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Torch-Fired Precious Metal Clay »

Instructions

Jenny gave us good advice when she said not to place torch directly on a bail because the smaller area was more prone to melting. I avoided placing torch on upper, thinner part of hoop and the thinner area held up well for firing.. Next I'm going to make a similar pair of earrings for a friend!

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Classic, Romantic

Materials

fire opal briolettes, PMC clay, silver wire, silver filled ear wire

Love your choice of fire opals in this design. The stamped metal clay provides an organic texture that stands out in comparison to factory elements. Love.

I used a stamp I think that is for ink to texture but seems to have worked out well:)

I love these. What did you use to texture your clay?

Beautiful! I love the bright orange of the beads next to the silver. Lovely.
