Finished Craftsy Bom Done Done

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Casual, Funky, Whimsical

Materials

Normal quilting - cotton fabrics, batting, thread, rulers, rotary cutter, etc.

What was your inspiration?

A free course that sounded fun, plus I did it with a friend.

What are you most proud of?

That I gave a few new things a try, and may not have mastered them, but did a passable job if I do say so.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Probably take your time a bit more than we did, I think that we only started about the middle of September. It was hurry up, but fun. Next year I plan to do these blocks again and add them to the 12 that Amy is offering for 2013 and then make a really big 30 block quilt for my bed. I will use a little less wild colors, but I think it will be fun and I can use another big quilt or two.

Thank you very much. I like finished projects too. Someone said that unfinished quilts were closet clutter and that inspires me to try to get things done done.

Gorgeous! I love the orange cornerstones - they really make the whole quilt zing! And I love your idea about making an even bigger quilt next year with a new BOM course.
