fingerless mittens

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Mittens and Gloves Galore »

Instructions

No--just follow Marly's written and verbal instructions and she breezes you right through it! I do think that my knowledge of sock knitting and familiarity of closing up gusset holes on socks helped me understand about closing up the gaps on the mitten thumb gusset.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Traditional, Outdoorsy, Casual, Cute

Materials

1 skein of Knit One Crochet Too Linus (Aran) made 2 fingerless mittens

What was your inspiration?

My hands get cold in the wintertime just being on the computer or knitting, so I wanted to learn to knit fingerless mittens to keep hands warm and still be able to have functioning fingers!!

What are you most proud of?

My first pair turned out nice. I think I'll try others in a DK or fingering weight yarn.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just follow Marly Bird's lessons. She is very clear and helpful!

Thank you, Marly! I will be brave and try your fingerless gloves after Stitches West is over. I appreciate your clear instructions.
