Glad you like the pattern. Sure, you can increase the stitvh count by measuring the circumference of your dads hand and multiplying the measurement by the stitvh gauge. Hope this helps. :)

Hi Qcumber You could try adding a few more stiches, it may give you the size you are looking for. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much! Love the pattern! It's great for a beginner like me. Is there a way to increase the size of the mitten for a male.? My Dad really like em!

Ms. Lilley quick question: when it says right hand, do you mean the right side of the project or if you are currently working on the mitten for the right hand? This is my first pair of mittens :/

Hi Qcumber. When the pattern refers to the right hand it is the right hand mitten. The thumb placement is different for the left and right hand mitten while the rst of the mitten is knit exactly the same. Hope this helps. Good luck on your first pair of mittens! :)

Can't wait to do these. My love right now is doing lace shawls, but my daughter is begging for me to make her fingerless mitts. This is just the pattern I was looking for to learn the technique. Thanks for sharing.
