Materials

Any old knitting worsted - medium to chunky weight. Thicker yarn and smaller stitches make the warmest gloves. *Note - sorry, no pattern. You can find lots of fingerless glove patterns online. I made these up.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Custom-size them to the wrist measurement. Use different yarns to make them formal or funky. You can use a lacy stitch and crochet thread for some really cute dressy ones. I also make pairs with an attached "cap" that fits over the top to convert into mittens.
