Pattern Info
Instructions
This pattern is more detailed than any of the bear patterns out there. The head, at its largest, is 68 single crochet stitches around, compared with about half that number in even the most detailed thread-crochet bear patterns I have seen. This is not a very fast project, for sure. It is a labor of love, and the quality of the bear will reflect the hours you put into creating it.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
I grew up in a town called Bearsville and I love classic teddy bears! I searched far and wide for a very detailed bear crochet pattern and came up empty-hooked. I spent almost a year developing this bear, with its subtle shapes. I love Finbar.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of Finbar's bearsonality. It's in the subtle shaping.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make the head first, and they you'll be inspired to give him a body. :)
