What are you most proud of? I had to improvise in so many places I wasn't sure it would ever get finished. Wasn't sure it could be. But when I just decided to make it my own and figure out the details, I did it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Press seams open when you can, err to the side of too much on cutting, and make sure to use a super scant 1/4" seam. All of my blocks that were not half square triangles were too small so nothing added up and met right while assembling. So I was left working out the sashings myself with no help. Which also changed assembly order and complexity. But be careful where your points would be cut off if you err big and trim down. This quilt really is not good for beginners. You must be able to figure things out and improvise a LOT.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and kind words. I wanted to make it reminiscent of Amish quilting, but with some modern input. That's why I chose the colors. Now I haven't decided how yet to quilt it. I do my own free motion quilting but I'm almost inclined to do a more traditional quilting method - ditching with a little filler where needed. Any thoughts or suggestions??

I saw another student's finished project where she quilted her BOM based on Angela Walter's Dot to Dot class, Her quilting suited the blocks so well. http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/2013-bom/146685 So I decided to sign up for the class too. I used a lot of what I learned on my quilt and I am very pleased with the results. You might want to check that out.

Lovely. So different from most of the others from the same pattern/course. The first time the pattern makes any sense to me :-) Gives inspiration to maybe trying the pattern myself...

Beautiful! I think your quilt is my favorite of the quilts posted. The solids look fantastic with this pattern. Makes me wish I had used solids:)
