What materials did you use? Cotton scraps separated into darks and lights, polyester backing fabric, cotton batting, thread.

What are you most proud of? I am trying desperately to use up some of my vast stash. MUCH more to go!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just try it and have fun with it.

Very interesting and unique quilt. The recipients will be so pleased. Isn't it fun trying to use the variety of fabrics in a stash!!! I am also a scrap saver and it is fun trying to find uses for them.

I usually use strips 1 1/2 inches wide which I prefer but I had a bunch of strips left over that were 2 1/2 so I tried this. That's what I love about quilting - no one can say that you are 'wrong' because it is whatever it is - whatever you make it to be!

You are so right. There is nothing "wrong" in quilting. Granted, things might not turn out as you want, but there is nothing wrong. Maybe just not quite right. That's how we end up with "original" pieces.

That really has impact - the contrast between the white and the colours has great sharpness and I'm sure whoever ends up with this quilt will be absolutely "over the moon" with it!

Fingers crossed! I always like my quilts to go to a good home. Is that the true sign of a quilter?!!
