Who is this project for? Women

What materials did you use? Various yarns, cording, ribbon in shades of blue, large bead caps/cones, toggle clasp, 24 ga. silver plated wire, 6 glass beads that coordinate with colors, large faceted dyed Agate pendant.

What are you most proud of? The final product is exactly what I pictured in my mind. That most definitely does NOT always happen.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Mix it up - use any colors, beads, pendants, you want. Wire the pendant directly on the fibers and by-pass the wire wrapping altogether. It has lots of possibilities.

I think this look great and I want to do a mixed fiber necklace, but I can't find the free pattern, is it only what you have written here about brading etc, how would i attach the clasp to the fibers do i use wire wraped arounf all the fiber?

How I did it: You need an eyepin and 18 gauge wire for each side. With the eye of the eyepin pointed downward toward the fibers, wrap the eyepin and the fibers together. Put the straight end of the eyepin through a bead cone. Cut off excess and create a loop on the opposite end of the eyepin. Attach clasp to this loop. Does that make sense?

Looking at the photo, I may have used 2 eyepins per side, made a double loop, and wrapped the extra wround the outer loop. Sorry, it has been a while since I made this!

It is very easy to do. I made a necklace with a wide linked chain in bronze. I wove the fabric through the chain and sewed it in place so the endes would look finished. I added a bronze pendent with Swarkovski crystals. Done in about 15 minutes.
