What materials did you use? Mostly batik fabric with silk screening and applique

What are you most proud of? It was inspired by a walk through the marsh on the NC coast and I think it conveys that feeling.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just throw away the rules and have fun playing.

Very nice of you to say - thanks.

This is lovely - I love how you used the wonky log cabin squares as the background, particularly how you inserted some purple in the base. Great applique work. It looks like you painted on the fern branches. Wowzer!

Thanks - it was fun learning these techniques in the class.

This is a very sophisticated and wonderful. It is ready for exhibition in a quilt show. I'm delighted with your use of the overall technique and your ability to handle light and dark. Are you a member of Studio Art Quilt Associates? If not, do look them up--www.SAQA.com. You'll find all kinds of good ideas there, good information, and lots of great people. Judith

Thank you so much Judith - very encouraging words. I've only been quilting a bit over a year, so it's nice to hear I'm headed in the right direction. I'll give SAQA a look.
