a jelly roll and scraps

What was your inspiration?

I found the pattern in a quilting magazine and used a jellyroll I had been given as a gift.
My friend never got to see it finished

Yes I sew 3 jelly roll strips together then cut these into a square the width of the strips about 6 1/2 inches each. the tricky bit was shuffling them to mix them up to look random!

ps can you tell me how big your blocks are & the size of your strips? also, did you do long strips of 3's & then cut down to your block size to make it quicker? thanks for any info you can share! :)

Just takes my breath away but in a very relaxed way.. its so calming and delicate. Absolutely beautiful. The border is such a lovely touch, especially love the wee extras like butterfly and bird, they just lift the border to another level. Your friend may not have got to see it finished, but she's very much a part of it. x
