This pattern is in the JUST BAGS Lion Brand Yarn book. 30 patterns to knit and crochet. It is on Amazon.com. It was a very hard bag to make and took me two weeks. The Lion yarn did not felt easily.I planned to sell this one on etsy.com for $50.00. It is
10" x 6.5" not including tort handles. The button is a cool Chezch glass button.

Materials
2 sks Lion Brand Yarn that felts, satin lining, sz 10.5 knitting needles, sz 10.5 crochet hook, 1 sk trellis yarn, 1 large button, needle to weave ends, lots of patience. This Spring Garden yarn is not in stock but may be found on the yarn market.com. I found it on ebay and had to buy 5 skeins to get one. Ended up making booties with the rest. This bag cost me over $50.00 to make OUCH!
What was your inspiration?
I saw it in a book called Lion Brand bags. I liked the furry look around the top. It inspired me to buy 5 skeins of Lion Brand yarn when I only needed two. Needed green so had to buy three to get one. By the time I had my bids in, I was into this for 8 skeins........what is this going to cost?
What are you most proud of?
I was able to finish it without throwing it in the trash like I wanted to do. The yarn was awful and it took me hours to hand felt it. I must have washed that thing in a bucket four times and wrung it out over and over til it looked like an old, smelly rug. I was determined to make it work though. It stretched so badly it ended up being over 21 inches wide....yikes! What now? Scissor! Yes, I will cut it up....OOPS, too much. Now it is only 10 inches long.......what now? Nothing......it's a mess! Sew on handled and pretend it came out great. NOT!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't make this one unless you like to suffer.
