Felted cell phone case

Pattern Info

This project was designed by Sister CG.

Felted cell phone/iPod case

Instructions

A no-brainer do-it-yourself pattern: I started with a toe-up sock cast-on (30 st total, as I remember), worked in the round until the piece was as long as I wanted, bound off half the stitches then knit the remaining 15 stitches back and forth in stockinette until the flap was the length I wanted. To finish I hand-felted it until it fit my phone.

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Functional

For: Unisex

Style: Whimsical, Classic, Casual

Materials

Lamb's Pride wool, 10.5 US circ needles and a hook-and-eye catch I found at our local JoAnn's store.

What was your inspiration?

On a stash-busting kick lately, and this was the perfect use for a small amount of Lamb's Pride left over from a felted bag project.

What are you most proud of?

That it worked!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Try anything. Who know what you might invent?

Love the originality of your closure and how you just used whatever wool yarn you might of had lying around from another project! I love felting too! Thanks for sharing:)
