What was your inspiration?
This needle case is based on the same felt needle case that my mum bought for me when I was a child. My own daughter is 5, and this Christmas I gave her her first sewing box, and as she didn't have a needle case, I made this one for her on Christmas Eve. It is the same size as my own with the same stitched design around the edge, the only thing that is different is that due to lack of time, I put a big green button on the front instead of a felt butterfly (as mine has).
What are you most proud of?
That she loves it, although I don't keep any needles in there at the moment!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's so easy, just use your imagination, children love these!!
