Exactly as suggested in the pattern. Really not sure of the difficulty because I just followed pattern and anything I couldn't manage I googled or spoke with the ladies in the shop for their guidance

What was your inspiration?

I saw this quilt back in March when my eldest daughter & grandson Felix were visiting. Both Mum & I decided it screamed Felix. Since purchasing this pattern they have been posted overseas (America) for 2 years. I am working madly away at getting it finished so that it can live with F and I can help tuck him into bed everynight.

What are you most proud of?

I have never tried hand quilting and so far so good. I have machine stitched the main part of the quilt and the dinosaurs in place and am now working on the hand quilting detail. I had a small problem when machine quilting - my scissors got caught in the backing and I put a small hole in it. I have patched it (my special message to F - see photo) - I love my repair job and am contemplating putting a hole in the back of every quilt! :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Now that the quilt is finished my only advice would be "Just do it" It was fun to do and once my finger tips hardened up (because I cannot use thimbles) the hand quilting was not nearly as hard as I first thought.
