What materials did you use?
I used 100% Brazilian cotton fabrics, Glace cotton thread, guata for the filling and John James quilting needles #10
Is there a pattern???? This is BEYOND gorgeous...a beautiful heirloom. Fabulous.
It was inspired on "nine patch block" but - as you can see - there are more than nine... I only tried to combine colors and let my hands do... I think each big square is 9''. I think each block measures 9''. Please, feel free to copy it. It is my pleasure sharing this with you.
FABULOUS! Your quilting is spectacular. What a Beautiful quilt. Thank you for sharing. :-)
I love this quilt, the pattern is wonderful and the quilting amazing. Is the quilting done by hand? I noticed you are from Uruguay, It brought back good memories for me since I grew up in Montevideo.
Did you really grow up here? Yaaay!! I lived there for 37 years but we moved to Punta del Este in 2006.
And yes, it was hand quilted, indeed.
I lived in Montevideo from age 11 to 14... many years ago since I am now 53. I went to the British School, but I don't know if it is still there. We enjoyed Punta Del Este on weekends. Once again, I love your lovely quilt.
The hand quilting is exquisite. How do you mark such perfect lines and circles in your quilts? What do you use to ensure such perfect measurements and lines? Thank you for sharing.
Hey, Bev Victor! Much better late than ever! ;) I used some stencils for marking the lines. When I want to make straight lines, I use masking tape. Cheers!
