The Balkan block requires "scant" 1/4" seams in order for the block to turn out 12.5" squ.On the Chevron I was confused that the instructions said to cut most of the squ. 4.5" but Amy only trimmed off a tiny amount to make them 3.5" - I trimmed off much more.
