What materials did you use? Fun polka-dot fabrics --- I bought the kit, and I will also be adding more black, white and grey spotted fabrics to the colorful mix.

What are you most proud of? I could not decide which fabric to use for the center... so I made up and cut the strip-sets... then laid them out on different colors to decide on the center square. I had narrowed it down to few colors, when it dawned on me that I didn't have to make them all the same... I like the different colors! My goal is to use mostly grey and black and white in this quilt, with just accents of color in each block.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow the instructions, but have fun with selecting your fabrics!

What great colours. This would make a fabulous kid's quilt. Love to see the finished product.

I totally agree that this would be a fun block to use for an entire quilt! Thank you for the kind compliment!

Hi Di - This is really cute. Love the choices you made. I need to see more of your work!!!!! I have looked at the class itself but it did not seem to talk to me the same as the one Amy did. If I was not so busy with some other things, I might get into it yet. Haven't been on line that much since February, but getting back to it now, I hope. Please share some more of your wonderful ideas. They are inspiring.

Hi Surfside! I have not been on Cragtsy much, at all... I miss sewing and quilting, and the comraderie here.... but I have other priorities right now, and fortunately, Craftsy will still be here when i am ready to get back to my sewing. We had an electrical fire, in out garage, in March. Fortunately no one was hurt, and insurance (supposedly) is good.... but it required us to move out of our home of nearly 30 years... there is a lot of smoke restoration, plus some rebuilding,,, all more involved than I could have imagined. So my creativity is being funneled to the house rebuild... and not sewing, at ALL... sigh... but I am truly counting my blessings. This is the type of thing that makes it very clear,,, that in the long run, not much of the "stuff" we have accumulated is very important, at all. (However... I did bring my sewing machine, and part of my fabric stash with me, to our temporary home...lol!) I hope you are doing well, and yes, I will be back, at some point! <3

Hi Stonertx -- Once you have signed up for the 2013 BOM class (it's free) you will see a tab for Materials... click on that and you will get a list of all the course information, including a link for class supplies. Click the supply link and you will see the page with ordering info for the fabric kit.
