sterling silver feathers glass tubular black beads silver head pins earring findings wire cutters needle nose pliers crafting needle I used a strong crochet thread but it's better to use a strong and thin wire especially used in jewelry making projects.

What was your inspiration?

I had recently gotten into trying out beaded jewelry. I went out and bought a variety of beads, findings and charms. I fell in love with the feathers and wanted to make something to display them. I made this set for my sister-in-law after she saw the original pair I made for myself. It was one of my first attempts at making beaded jewelry.

What are you most proud of?

Again, it pleases me to know that I made this myself. I can look back on it and think "Hey, I did that!"

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Watch videos on jewelry making. I have watched many on YouTube to learn the basics of beaded jewelry. Some projects can look simple to do, but you really need to be familiar with the tools used in this type of craft. So, do your homework and watch the videos, research from books and practice on simple projects to get the feel of the tools. Don't get discouraged! Just keep practicing!
