Cotton fabrics, mostly Superior Thread and where I didn't use Superior, I really wished I had.
What was your inspiration?
This was actually a quilt I had done several years ago, but only stitched in the ditch. After taking several of the machine quilting classes, I wanted to try the techniques so I pulled it out and quilted away. I really wanted to get good at feathers.
What are you most proud of?
The feathers came out pretty darn good. In retrospect though, I think I overdid the feathers. If I had to do it again, I would have done something different in the border.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Less is more. It's really hard to picture how the quilting will turn out until you've actually done a few yourself.
