|Here are some details about my project:|
|Yarn Weight||Sport (5 ply)|
What materials did you use? Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Sport in Haze Heather, Ameythst Heather and Baltic Heather. The needle size is too big and the gauge was way off. The stitches turned out sloppy, too. The ribbing is particularly loose.
What are you most proud of? I figured out the chart had a mistake in it and corrected the knitting on my own. I'm also happy with the colors, since I couldn't get the Cascade yarns.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I had trouble with tension and gauge and checked out the class questions and answers. In one of the answers, Amy suggested that a change in size AND material (metal to wood, etc.) can change tension, gauge and rows. I tried wooden needles 2 sizes smaller and my next swatch is much better looking and is accurate for both gauge and rows. Be sure to read through the questions and answers. Someone else may have/had the same issues and the answer may already be there!
