What materials did you use? 40 Men's neckties - most were donated, but I had to purchase some at the thrift store! Made my own template out of cardboard as I needed it to be 14 inches long and the bottom 1 1/2 inches wide. Also used fusible interfacing. Gold fabric in center was printed with a scripture verse on my inkjet printer.

Too bad we cannot see the scripture.. Great idea!

The verse is Proverbs 17:6 "Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers. It hangs in the foyer of my church during the month o June.

The ties were hard to work with at first and my quilting could use some more practice. Fortunately I am the only one who knows where the mistakes are! The men at church have fun pointing out which was there tie(s).
