Large & Small Fabric Panels & Buttons

What was your inspiration?

My Dad loves deers and I completed the Large Fabric Panel in a wall hanging for him and he loved it so much that I had to make a quilt for him.
This fit his double bed quite nicely

What are you most proud of?

How nicely it when together after I found all the fabrics I need to complete the quilt. Adding buttons to the quilt allowed me to personalized his favouite things into the quilt. Like the Maple leaf in the Middle Panels, squirrel buttons, tents and other leaf buttons.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

1, The Large Panel is quite easy, of course but adding the pillow panels can be a little tricky.
2. Make sure you off set the pillow panels to make a it pleasing to the eye.
3. I used a co-ordinating fabric (which I didn't have very much left) to create a middle panel.
4. Treat each section as a panel and frame it with your outside border fabric. I used three border fabrics for the outside and made sure I
incorporated each fabric into other aspect of the quilt .
5. You can quilt with a continues leaf pattern around the outside .
