What materials did you use? I bought this quilt pattern because the animals were so well done, and I wanted to use the horse pattern to make a tote bag for my horse-loving grand-daughter to use for her books on library visits. I put the horse on the outer pocket of the tote. Then I made a similar tote bag for my piggy-loving great niece. Since the bags were well received, I decided to make the entire quilt, using quilting cottons. I thought the pigs needed a curly tail which was not part of the pattern, so I added that detail. Everybody who has seen the quilt wants to steal it. I am saving it until my son and his wife have a baby boy.

It looks like I will have to make another farm quilt. Son and his wife are not yet expecting a baby boy, but nephew and his wife are, and they are organic farmers. Farm quilt absolutely has to go to them. Right after Christmas sewing projects are finished, another farm quilt will get underway.
