What was your inspiration?
The gorgeous, retro/vintage Flea Market Fancy fabric range. I missed it the first time Denyse Schmidt released it so I was thrilled to see it back again. I also love the modern 'off kilter' look that is creeping into quilting of late and thought I would be good to have a 'modern retro' look for my latest quilt design.
What are you most proud of?
Working so well with bias edges!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is not a difficult pattern to make. Just go slow and handle the biased edges with care to avoid stretching the quilt out of alignment. However, the pattern instructions give a way to achieve this.
