What materials did you use? I used cotton fabric, color pencils, water color pencils, light table, micro pen, thread, fabric medium, batting, and backer fabric.

What are you most proud of? I am proud of the whole quilt. I am pleased how the portraits of the relatives turned out, along with the quilting process. I never did quilt as you go technique before this project and it turned out well.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would say plan ahead and have fun. The quilt as you go technique works well if you are going to do a multi panel quilt like this one. I would also say start out small in your thread art portrait, then work up to a bigger size.
