Cotton, variety of solids and prints; chiffon, tulle.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted a special gift for my parents.... went yellow and golds and blue to match their living room.... wanted hand tracings to be a part of gift.... and thought family tree!

What are you most proud of?

That I made this - designed, pieced, sewed, quilted - all by myself, doing it all for first time! It turned out almost exactly as I planned!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Practice with fusing papers, materials, stitches.... I did, but not enough in some cases:-)

What a sweet and thoughtful gift for your parents! I'm sure that this is something that holds greater value than gold in their hearts...what a nice job they must have done in raising you!
