I enlarge a photo to 8 by 10, then traced the outline and scanned that into my computer. I was able to then tile it in adobe acrobat it and print it out any size I wanted...all I needed to do was tape the printer pages together. Then it was simple to cut it apart into a template for the quilt.

how much experience have you had as a quilter and a sewer before you attempted this class. i have only been quilting for about 9 months and have made 4 quilts and numerous small projects but i have always had someone around for moral support. and when i say quilting for 9 months i mean i have never sewn before that either., so is this out of my league and i am wishful thinking or can someone with my limited experience really capable of doing this. honesty is essential here please. p.s. your quilt is lovely. i so want to be able to do this.
