Reproduction fabrics - all 100% non-washed cotton, wool/cotton batting

What was your inspiration?

I love medallion quilts and the churn dash block so I decided to combine them. Most of the fabric in the quilt is reproduction fabric dating from about 1780 to 1830. My stash was raided and a I needed to add a few later pieces as well to complete the quilt.

What are you most proud of?

Most of the fabric in the quilt was all from my stash. I am also proud of my machine quilter - I gave her my design and she quilted the lines all just as I asked. With a quilt this size the material cost is high, but well worth it. (112 x 116)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't let your design be dictated by others. Let your style be your own. If you like it...that's the best compliment you will ever receive.
