Instructions
important to have a large enough area to lay out fabric. I used an old sheet on my bed, and once I sorted out the layout I wrote on the sheet as well as pinned the pieces directly to it, omce you start to sew the blocks it is hard to remember what colour went where - especially when there are 8 different colours in each blockDifficulty:

Materials
I found an apron pattern with wonderful pumpins and fall leaves, I brought my hubby to the fabric store and he helped me pick out the 12 matching fabrics, alll cottons. The backing is a mottled flannel - I like the feel of the flannel backs.
What was your inspiration?
I want to do a quilt for every season, when I saw the apron pattern it was the perfect pannel to start with. LOL, never did use the apron panel, the quilt turned out so beautiful on its own I didn't want to ruin it. Looks like Stained glass! I signed up for a machine quilting class on Quilty so I can finish it right.
What are you most proud of?
not finished yet, but this is for sure the most difficult of the quilts I have made, which is great for me to get out of my comfort zone - and with my house up for sale the past 5 months, quilting keeps my mind busy
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
make sure you can write under the fabric (I used an old sheet) once you start to sew it is nearly impossible to keep track of where each piece is supposed to go. Since there are 12 different fabrics, and each block can't have 2 fabrics the same, and you want to spread out the colours - just write it down
