fall jacket

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Burda Magazine 9/2006

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Goth, Military, Classic

Materials

black gabardine (like jeans fabric, but completely dyed); teal lining; black "military" buttons; self-made shoulder pads

What was your inspiration?

I needed a new, good-fitting jacket for the fall that is suitable for (almost) any occassion.

The way the light comes in from the window makes the jacket look like there is some kind of decorative, quilted fabric pieced in along the outer arms... and that's a great idea that I'm going to use! Yay!

Your jacket is very classy. Nice colors. I have never made a jacket before. I just finished making my first skirt for me since I was a teenager. But I want to make a jacket too!
