What materials did you use? lap quilt kit from connecting threads, cotton thread

What are you most proud of? I am very impatient and the quilting took a long time! I'm glad I finished it without resorting to meandering. I also did not pick out the squares I didn't like.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Practicing is obviously great but I'd say just go for it and start quilting a quilt. By the time I was done, I was much more comfortable with the designs and didn't even have to warm up. I really got into the flow with my machine (a domestic, not long arm) and got into a groove. I am seriously wanting to try a long arm now!

Very nice job----the quilt is pretty, and the variety of quilting to try things out played out really well with the quilt pattern!

Impressive and inspiring, well done. I still have not had the courage to come out of the ditch but seeing this quilt has given me the impetus to thread up the sewing machine and practice, practice, practice. Thank you.

Wow! That's such a compliment...thank you! It really is just a matter of making yourself do it - there are tons of mistakes but I learned a lot! Have fun, no stress! :)

My favorite quilting is on the border of the gold block...it reminds me of locked fingers when someone folds their hands in their lap.
