Instructions

I fell in love with the fabrics and there was a pattern put out by the designer and another in a magazine. I used them as the inspiration, but adapted them to fit my style and needs.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Outdoorsy, Classic, Traditional

Materials

Cotton fabrics, flannel backing

What was your inspiration?

Nature. My husband is an outdoorsy type. Our shop motto is: Bring the outdoors in...

What are you most proud of?

That I accomplished it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This was my first quilt. I decided to have a lovely local lady long arm quilt it to finish it. It would have been extremely difficult for me to do on my home machine, especially as a beginner. Sometimes you have to know when to outsource! I wanted my quilt to end up as beautiful as it started, so I didn't want bubbles in the quilting. I opted for a professional. I'm glad I did.

Thank you! Thank you! The walls washed out in the photo, but they are a light beige, not white. My hubbie is addicted to the outdoors, so we had to bring it indoors for him. :) Thanks for the encouragement!
